IGNITE NEWS:

As we have just learned, Zoli won’t do the IGNITE tour which starts today because of his state of health. But the tour will take place for sure! Here is his official statement:
"Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a minute to thank all the people who have emailed me, called me and came to see me since I ended up in the hospital in Germany having emergency back surgery a couple weeks ago on the PW tour. I really want to thank all those people who have reached out with well wishes and kind regards. I also wanted to give all of you an update on how my recovery is going. I flew home last weekend to rehab and was told by my doctor that I should stay home to rest my back for a full recovery. I need to take my doctors advice seriously and recover completely so I can be healthy to go out to tour in the near future. I called my good friend Jon Bunch, the amazing singer from the band SENSEFIELD, and asked him if he could fill in on some shows for me during this European Ignite tour. Jon spent the last 5 days doing 10 hour rehearsals with my guys in Ignite and he is doing me a huge favor by stepping in and helping me out. I can't thank Jon enough. Thanks again to all the people who have reached out to me, your support has been incredible. See you all very soon and thank you so much for everything. Zoli"

Formed in suburban Orange County in 1994, IGNITE, whose fan base has largely been developed through near-constant global touring, deliver an intelligent, socially and politically aware, melodic brand of hardcore that has taken them and their message to over 30 countries worldwide.

Their high-spirited career includes critically lauded records including, A Place Called Home (2000), Past Our Means (1996) and Call On My Brothers (1995). IGNITE has also released various live seven inch, ten inch records and split cd’s in which all proceeds have been donated to many environmental groups that the group supports including The Sea Shepherd Society, Earth First and Orange County’s own Pacific Wildlife Foundation.

The four-piece band--Zoli Teglas (vocals), Brett Rasmussen (bass), Brian Balchack (guitar) and Craig Anderson (drums)--will be entering the recording studio in September with engineer/producer Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Motorhead, SUM 41, Silverstein). First, however, the new material will be road tested, to smooth out some final wrinkles, when the group ventures to Europe in August to play festivals in Sweden, Germany, Holland, Hungary and also a handful of club shows. “We did the same thing when we recorded our last cd, we did the European Warped Tour then came home and went straight into the studio, we were very prepared and very tight” said Teglas.

Die CRUSHING CASPARS sind vier kernige Norddeutsche aus Rostock und ihr Sound ist ganz klar geprägt von ihren Lieblingsbands!
Diese sind zum Teil echte Stilikonen ihrer Szenen, wie zum Beispiel Suicidal Tendencies, Sick Of It All, Blood For Blood, Gorilla Biscuits  aber auch Motörhead um mal einige zu nennen.
In dieser Tradition sehen sich die Jungs und so ist es auch nicht weiter verwunderlich, daß ihre Mucke eine inkorrekte Mixtur aus Oldschool Hardcore, Punkrock & brüllendem Rock'n'Roll ist.
Sie selbst bezeichnen ihren Stil als Baltic Sea Hardcore.
Baltic Sea Hardcore, weil er voller Emotionen und Leidenschaft steckt, zum Teil rau wie die See an der sie leben und wiederum sanft, wie die Sonne, die ihr Gemüht erhellt, dann wieder laut und schnell, wie der Orkan der hier zuweilen tobt und zäh und träge wie die Art der Menschen die hier leben!
B.S.H.C. – eben einfach nordisch herb!
Bleibt noch zu sagen, daß die CRUSHING CASPARS eine absolute Liveband sind. Wenn sie vor Publikum zocken wachsen die CASPARS stets über sich selbst hinaus!

Nach mehr als 1000 Auftritten in den letzten 20 Jahren sind sie nach wie vor totale Adrenalinjunkies!
